ZB Ventures is a sole-operator town planning consultancy based in Melbourne. My work spans residential and commercial permit applications, compliance advice, VCAT representation, and strategic planning for landowners and developers across Victoria.
Before working in private consultancy, I spent time working within local government — which means I understand how planning applications are assessed from the inside. I know what councils look for, where applications commonly fail, and how to address those issues before they become problems.
As a sole operator, every project is handled by me personally. There are no junior staff, no account managers, and no handoffs. You speak directly to the person doing the work — and that person has been navigating Victoria's planning system for over a decade.
My approach is direct. I will give you a realistic assessment of your project early — what's achievable, what the risks are, and what the process actually involves. That kind of clarity, delivered before you've committed significant resources, is often the most valuable thing a planning consultant can provide.
